Fits the VW Golf Mk6 GTI and GTD, 2008–2013 — GTI/GTD bumper. Not the R20 bumper or the standard Mk6 bumper — the R20 splitter is listed separately.
The GTI/GTD bumper is the best front end VW put on the Mk6, but the bottom edge is flat and sits high, and the car looks taller at the front than it should. This splitter fixes the line: one piece of gloss black ABS, screwed into the underside of the bumper — no tape — and nothing is cut.
About the front splitter
A one-piece splitter that follows the lower edge of the GTI/GTD bumper from corner to corner. It is A-grade ABS plastic, which keeps its shape across the full width and shrugs off the knocks a front splitter gets without cracking like fibreglass.
This is the ABS version. We also stock a vacuum-formed VW Golf Mk6 GTI Front Lip for the same bumper — lighter and cheaper, but a thinner part. If the car is lowered or used every day, the ABS splitter is the one to have.

Fitting it
Clean the underside of the bumper with panel wipe. With the car on ramps, offer the splitter up and check the gap at both ends before you drill — a bumper that has been off before rarely sits square. Tape it in position, pilot-drill into the plastic underside only, and screw it up from below, starting in the middle and working out.
Delivery, fitting and returns
Delivery is £20 to any UK or Ireland address, on every body kit part. Or have it fitted at Blade Performance in Portadown for an extra £20 — supplied and fitted the same day. Check the splitter against the car before you drill anything, and let us know about any transit damage within 48 hours of delivery.
What it won't do
It will not fit the R20 or the standard Mk6 bumper. Check which bumper your car has before ordering.
It will not hide a scuffed or cracked bumper. The splitter sits underneath; damage above it still shows.
It is a styling part. It does not make meaningful downforce on a road car.

Does the Mk6 GTI front splitter fit the GTD?
Yes. The Mk6 GTD uses the GTI-style bumper, and this splitter fits both.
What is the difference between this and the Mk6 GTI Front Lip?
Material. This splitter is ABS; the front lip is vacuum-formed plastic. Both fit the same bumper — the ABS part is the stiffer, harder-wearing of the two.
Do you have to drill the bumper?
Yes, into the plastic underside only — never bodywork. No tape is used, so the splitter comes off cleanly if the car goes back to standard.
Can I collect it or have it fitted?
Yes. Collect from the shop in Portadown, or book it in and we fit it for £20.
