Terms of service

These terms apply when you buy from Blade Performance, online at bladeperformance.shop or in our Portadown shop, and when you use our website. Please read them before you order. They do not affect your legal rights.

Last updated: 8 October 2026.

1. Who we are

Blade Performance, 80a Charles Street, Portadown, BT62 1DQ, Northern Ireland.

Blade Performance is a limited company. "We", "us" and "our" mean Blade Performance. "You" means the customer.

2. These terms and our other policies

The following policies form part of these terms. Where one of them deals with something in more detail, that policy applies.

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on our website when you place your order is the one that applies to that order.

3. Our products

  • We describe every product as accurately as we can. Colours and finishes can look slightly different on screen, and manufacturers sometimes change packaging or formulas without telling us. Small differences of this kind are not a fault.
  • Always read the label and follow the manufacturer's instructions. Detailing chemicals, coatings and aerosols must be stored and used as the label says and kept out of reach of children. We are not responsible for damage caused by a product being used on the wrong surface or against its instructions.
  • Body kit parts are sold for the vehicle models named on the product page. Please check the fitment notes before you order, and test fit a part before it is painted or fitted. Painting and fitting are not included unless the product page says so.
  • A Mystery Detailing Bundle is a surprise selection chosen by us. The product page explains the guaranteed minimum value and number of items. You cannot choose, swap or exclude items.
  • Stock is limited and we may limit the quantity of any product sold to one customer.

4. Show plates

Our plates are sold as show plates for display, car shows, private land and off-road use only. They are not road legal. They are not made to the British Standard for vehicle registration plates, and it is an offence to display a plate that does not meet the law on a vehicle on a public road.

  • By ordering a show plate you confirm that you understand this and that you will not display it on a vehicle on a public road.
  • Every plate is made to order from the registration, style and options you enter. Please check your text and preview carefully before you pay. Once a plate is in production it cannot be changed.
  • Because they are personalised, show plates cannot be returned if you change your mind. If we make a mistake or a plate arrives damaged we remake it free of charge or refund you. See our Refund policy.
  • You are responsible for making sure you are entitled to use the registration you ask us to print.

5. Placing an order

  • You must be 18 or over to place an order with us.
  • Follow the steps at checkout to place your order. Check your order carefully before you pay, as you are responsible for the details you enter, including the delivery address and any text on a personalised item.
  • When you place an order online we send you an order confirmation email. This confirms we have received your order; it does not mean we have accepted it. We accept your order when we send your shipping confirmation, or the email telling you it is ready to collect. In the shop, the sale is complete when you pay at the till.
  • We may not be able to accept an order if a product is out of stock, we find a pricing or description error, your payment is declined, we cannot deliver to your address, or we have reason to think the order is not genuine. If so we will tell you and refund anything you have paid.
  • Orders placed online are for your own use, not for resale.

6. Prices and payment

  • All prices are shown in pounds sterling and are the final price you pay for the item. Delivery is charged on top and is shown at checkout before you pay. See our Shipping policy for the rates.
  • The price you pay is the price shown on the website when you place your order. We can change prices at any time, but a change does not affect an order you have already placed.
  • If we discover that a product was listed at an obviously wrong price, we will contact you before dispatch. You can then confirm the order at the correct price or cancel it for a full refund.
  • Payment is taken in full when you order, using the payment methods shown at checkout. Your card details are handled by our payment provider and are not stored by us.
  • Discount codes can be used once per order and cannot be combined unless the offer says otherwise. We can withdraw a promotion at any time, but not for orders already placed.
  • Prices in the shop may differ from prices online. Remaps and other services booked online are paid for in the shop on the day.
  • Products belong to you once we have received payment in full and the goods have been delivered to you.

7. Delivery and collection

Where we deliver, dispatch times, delivery estimates, tracking, click and collect, and what happens if a parcel is late, lost or damaged are all set out in our Shipping policy. Delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed. The goods are our responsibility until they are delivered to you, or to a safe place or neighbour you asked the courier to use.

8. Cancelling, returns and refunds

If you buy online you have the legal right to cancel within 14 days of receiving your goods, and our own returns policy gives you 30 days. Some things cannot be returned for a change of mind, including show plates and other personalised items, opened liquids and chemicals, and services that have already been carried out. If something is faulty, damaged or not what you ordered we put it right at our cost. All the details are in our Refund policy, and our Returns page explains how to send something back.

9. Remaps, Diesel Solutions and other services

  • Remaps and diesel software services are booked online but carried out and paid for in the shop. Booking is free. The Remap Terms apply to every booking, including your right to cancel, what to bring, and what we are and are not responsible for.
  • Diesel Solutions services such as EGR, DPF and AdBlue software are for off-road and competition use only. It is an offence to use a vehicle on a public road with these systems removed or switched off. We only carry out this work after you have signed a declaration in the shop.
  • A remap is a modification. You must tell your insurer, and you should expect it to affect a manufacturer's warranty.
  • We carry out all work with reasonable care and skill, as the Consumer Rights Act 2015 requires. If we do not, we will put it right, or reduce the price where that is not possible.

10. Gift cards

  • Gift cards bought online are sent by email to the address you give us. They can be spent on bladeperformance.shop and in our Portadown shop.
  • A gift card can be used more than once until the balance is spent. It cannot be exchanged for cash, and any remaining balance cannot be refunded except where the law requires it.
  • Treat the gift card code like cash. We cannot replace a code that has been lost, stolen or used by someone else.
  • Gift cards expire 12 months after the date of purchase. Any balance left on the card after that date cannot be used or refunded.
  • Cancelling and refunding an unused gift card is covered in our Refund policy.

11. Using our website

  • You can create an account to make ordering quicker. Keep your login details safe and tell us if you think someone else has used them. The information you give us must be accurate and up to date.
  • You may use the website for your own personal, lawful use. You must not misuse it, interfere with its security, introduce viruses or other harmful code, or use bots, scrapers or other automated tools to access or copy it.
  • The content on our website, including text, photographs, product descriptions, logos and designs, belongs to us or to the brands and suppliers we work with, and is protected by copyright and trade mark law. You may not copy or reuse it for commercial purposes without our written permission.
  • Our website may contain links to other websites, including suppliers, manufacturers and booking tools. We are not responsible for their content or how they handle your information.
  • If you leave a review or send us feedback, you give us permission to use it, including on our website and social media. We may remove a review that is offensive, misleading or unlawful.

12. Our relationship with Shopify

Our website is powered by Shopify, which provides the platform we use to run it. Any purchase you make is made directly with Blade Performance, not with Shopify. Shopify is not responsible for any aspect of a sale between you and us, including any injury, damage or loss arising from products or services you buy from us, and you agree that you will not bring a claim against Shopify or its affiliates in connection with your purchases from us.

13. What we are and are not responsible for

  • We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. Loss is foreseeable if it is obvious it will happen, or if you and we both knew it might happen when the order was placed.
  • We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, for loss caused by a product being used against its instructions or on an unsuitable surface, or for business losses. We only supply products for personal use.
  • We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, for defective products under the Consumer Protection Act 1987, and for your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including your right to receive goods of satisfactory quality that are fit for purpose and as described.
  • Our website is provided as it is. We try to keep it accurate and available, but we do not promise it will be free of errors or available at all times.

14. Your information

We only use your personal information as set out in our Privacy policy. Because our website runs on Shopify, Shopify also processes some of your information in order to provide the service, as described in Shopify's privacy policy.

15. Complaints

If something is not right, tell us first using the contact details in section 1 and we will do our best to sort it out. For free, independent advice you can contact Consumerline, the Northern Ireland Trading Standards Service helpline, on 0300 123 6262.

16. Other important terms

  • If a court finds any part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies.
  • If we do not insist straight away that you do something you are required to do under these terms, or we delay in taking action against you, that does not mean you do not have to do it, and it does not stop us taking action later.
  • We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another business. We will tell you if we do, and it will not affect your rights.
  • These terms are between you and us. No one else has any rights under them.

17. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Northern Ireland, and the courts of Northern Ireland deal with any dispute. If you live in England, Wales or Scotland you can also bring proceedings in your local courts. If you live outside the United Kingdom, nothing in these terms takes away any protection you have under the consumer laws of your own country.
