Universal mats are a compromise on fit, so give them a minute when you first lay them in: push each one right into the corner of the footwell and check the driver's mat sits clear of the pedals before you drive off. Do that once and they behave. For the money they are a tidy way to get a used car looking sold.

What it won't do

These are not tailored mats and will not follow the exact outline of your footwell the way a vehicle-specific set does, and they have no fixing clips for cars that come with them. If you carry mud and water every day, the heavy duty rubber front pair is the better tool.

Frequently asked questions

Will these fit my car?
They are a universal-fit set sized to suit most cars. Because they are not cut to a specific model there will be some gap at the edges of the footwell, and on very large or very small vehicles the fit will be looser.

Do the mats move about?
The backing is non-slip, which keeps them in place under normal use. They do not have clips or pegs, so on a very smooth or heavily worn carpet the driver's mat can still shift over time — check it now and again.

How do I clean them?
Lift them out and vacuum or beat them. For stains, a carpet and fabric cleaner from our carpet & fabric range and a stiff brush, then leave them to dry flat.

Are the trimmed versions the same mats?
Yes — the blue trim and red trim sets are the same four-piece velour set with a coloured surround and a reinforced heel pad on the driver's mat.
