The Pro Mitt is ADBL's professional-grade mitt: densely packed soft microfibre that holds a lot of shampoo solution, releases dirt in the rinse bucket, and has a reinforced cuff so it survives being used on cars every day rather than every month.

When to use it

Pro Mitt is the one for the detailer doing several cars a week — it takes the abuse. For a personal car washed at the weekend, the cheaper Care Mitt does the same job.

What it won't do

It will not make up for skipping the pre-wash. Load a mitt with grit from a filthy panel and it will mar paint like anything else — snow foam and rinse first.

Pro Mitt is denser with a reinforced cuff and is built for professional daily use. Care Mitt is the lighter, cheaper mitt for a home wash. Both are soft microfibre.

Is a microfibre wash mitt better than a sponge?
Yes for paint safety. The deep pile pulls grit away from the surface, where a flat sponge holds it against the paint and drags it.

How do I wash it?
Rinse thoroughly after use, then machine wash with a microfibre detergent such as ADBL Micro Wash Storm. No fabric softener, no tumble dryer on high.

Does it fit a large hand?
It is a full-size professional mitt with an elasticated cuff. If you have very small hands the Care Mitt is the closer fit.
