TENZI ProDetailing Quartz Shampoo is a pH 5 car shampoo containing liquid quartz that deposits a protective, hydrophobic quartz layer onto paintwork during the wash, so protection builds up with every wash rather than washing away.

A shampoo that leaves more behind than it takes off. Quartz Shampoo carries liquid quartz particles that bond to the clear coat as you wash, so each wash deepens colour, adds gloss and extends the hydrophobic layer already there. TENZI are refreshingly straight about the trade-off: the quartz content means it foams less than a normal shampoo. It cleans just as well — it simply does not put on the same bubble show.

Quartz Shampoo is the contact-wash step that also protects. Foam White is the pre-wash foam that comes before it and protects nothing. They are complementary, not alternatives — foam first, then wash with this.

Do not over-dose it. TENZI explicitly warn that exceeding the recommended dilution causes stains and streaks, which is the opposite of what you bought it for. And use a dedicated mitt or sponge for this shampoo — the quartz particle content is high enough that TENZI recommend keeping it separate.

What it won't do

It is not a ceramic coating and will not replace one. It must not go on the windscreen — TENZI state that explicitly. And it will not decontaminate bonded fallout or tar; that is a separate job.
