PUNKT Tar & Glue Remover

TENZI ProDetailing PUNKT is a ready-to-use solvent spot remover built on alcohols and orange terpenes that dissolves tar, glue, adhesive residue, chewing gum, pen marks and bitumen from paintwork.

The bottle you reach for when something will not come off. PUNKT is a solvent spot cleaner that dissolves the sticky, non-water-soluble things ordinary chemicals ignore — tar spatter, dealer sticker glue, badge adhesive, chewing gum, pen and marker, shoe polish, bitumen, rubber transfer marks. It works in under a minute, wipes off with a microfibre, and leaves a strong fresh orange smell instead of the usual solvent stink.

When to use it

Spot-wise, whenever you find something a wash will not shift. Also as part of a full decontamination before claying, polishing or coating — tar left on the paint gets polished into it otherwise.

How it compares to the rest of the TENZI range

PUNKT is the targeted solvent. APC OUT is the alkaline pre-wash that strips general road film off the whole car. Clay Spray handles mechanical decontamination. A proper decon uses all three, in that order, and PUNKT is the one you use least and need most.

Read the restriction before you spray. TENZI are explicit that PUNKT attacks rubber, soft plastic and plexiglass — this is a genuinely aggressive solvent, not a gentle all-rounder. Test a hidden area, keep it off trim and seals, and never let it dry on the paint.

What it won't do

It will not remove bonded iron or brake dust — different chemistry entirely. It must not be used on rubber, soft plastics or plexiglass, and it is not a general-purpose cleaner.
