The satin finish is the reason to pick this over a cheap shine spray. Glossy dressings look impressive for a day, then reflect off the windscreen at night and collect dust like a magnet. This is the version you can live with. On very neglected plastics, clean first with the Lady APC — a dressing over dirt just seals the dirt in.

What it won't do

It is not a leather product and it is not a fabric product. It will not repair plastic that has gone brittle or crazed, and SWAG publish no durability figure, so treat it as regular maintenance rather than a coating.

Frequently asked questions

Will it make my steering wheel slippery?
Keep any dressing off the wheel, gear knob and pedals as a matter of principle. SWAG publish no exclusion list, but a slick steering wheel is a bad idea whatever the label says.

Can I use it on exterior trim?
SWAG list it for interior plastic and rubber. For exterior black trim, use a dedicated exterior trim product.

What is the difference between this and the Interior Dressing Cream Satine?
This is the sprayable version for routine wipe-downs. The Cream Satine is thicker, applied with a foam applicator, and more restorative on badly faded plastic.

Directions

Apply in a shaded place on a cool, clean surface.
Shake the bottle before use.
Spray onto a sponge applicator, or directly onto the trim panel.
Spread an even layer over the whole element.
Gently buff the surface with a microfibre cloth.
