Spray it on, walk away, come back to a wheel that is bleeding purple. SWAG's Bloody Wheel Cleaner Gel is a pH-balanced deironiser thickened into a gel so it clings to spoke faces instead of running into the barrel, and it dissolves the embedded brake dust and iron particles that ordinary wheel cleaners leave behind. Dilute it 1:1 and the same bottle decontaminates your paintwork.

Why it works

  • Dissolves bonded iron and brake-dust particles, not just surface grime
  • Visible purple bleeding effect so you can see it working
  • Thickened gel clings to vertical spoke faces
  • Balanced pH — safe on steel and aluminium, painted or polished
  • Doubles as a paint decontaminant at 1:1 with demineralised water
  • Fruity fragrance rather than the usual sulphurous smell

When to use it

Every few months on wheels, or whenever a wash no longer gets them properly clean — the tell is a faint orange speckling on a silver wheel. On paint, use it before claying and before any polish or coating work.

Straight from us

Two products in one bottle is the real value here. The wheel-cleaning job is what it is sold on, but the 1:1 paint decontamination step is what separates a car that has been washed from a car that has been prepared. If you are about to polish or coat anything, this stage is not optional.

What it won't do

It is not a routine weekly cleaner — deironisers are for periodic decontamination, not every wash. It will not remove tar or adhesive (that is the Tar & Glue Remover Gel's job), and it will not shift heavy alkaline traffic film as fast as a dedicated alkaline cleaner.

Frequently asked questions

Why has it not gone purple?
Because there is no bonded iron there to react with. That is a good result, not a faulty bottle.

Is it safe on a ceramic-coated car?
SWAG describe it as pH-balanced and list it for paint decontamination. Rinse thoroughly and do not let it dry on the surface.

How do I use it on paint?
Dilute 1:1 with demineralised water in a hand sprayer, cover the whole car, wait 10 minutes for the metallic residue to be pulled out, then rinse everything off.
