Some cars are past the point where a gentle foam does anything useful. Stjärnagloss Snö X is the stronger option in the range: an alkaline pre-wash built to break down heavy traffic film, road grime and stubborn contamination before a mitt goes anywhere near the paint.

It is not pH-neutral, and that is the point of it. Snö X is the first stage on a car that has spent the week on gritted roads or farm lanes, where the standard Snö would lift the light dirt and leave the rest. Thick, clinging foam through a lance or cannon, left to dwell, then rinsed off before the contact wash.

Keep both if you wash regularly. Snö X for the winter months and the first wash after a bad week, standard Snö for everything after that. Reaching for the strong one every time costs more and asks more of your protection than the job needs.

What it won't do

It will not look after wax, sealant or a ceramic coating the way the pH-neutral Snö does. For a routine maintenance wash on protected paint, Snö is the one to reach for. Snö X is also a pre-wash rather than a contact wash: it loosens the dirt, the mitt still has to come out afterwards.

Is Snö X pH-neutral?
No. Snö X is alkaline. If you specifically need a pH-neutral foam, the standard Snö is the one you want.

Can I use it on a ceramic-coated car?
Use it with care on sensitive finishes and never let it dry on the surface. For routine washing on coated paint we would use the pH-neutral Snö instead.

Do I need a pressure washer?
Yes. Snö X goes on through a foam lance or foam cannon and needs rinsing off properly.

Directions

1. Pre-rinse the vehicle to knock off any loose dirt and grit.

2. Mix Sno X in your foam lance bottle, following the dilution given on the label.

3. Apply evenly to the vehicle, working from the bottom upwards.

4. Allow the foam to dwell for a few minutes, without letting it dry on the surface.

5. Rinse thoroughly using a pressure washer.

6. Follow with a contact wash using a quality car shampoo and wash mitt.
