PW Protector Wax High-Gloss Spray Wax

Drying is where a lot of swirl marks go in, dragging a towel across a panel that is still holding water. Protector Wax is Koch Chemie's dilutable spray wax: it goes on through the foam lance while the car is still wet, so the water sheets off instead of sitting in beads you have to chase. What is left behind is gloss, hard beading and a slick surface that stays cleaner between washes.
Why it works
- Dilutes at roughly 30ml per litre of water, so a 1L bottle makes around 33 litres of working product
- Goes on through a foam lance, foam sprayer or pump dispenser - no applicator pads, no buffing off
- Sheets water off the panel, so the car dries faster and with far less towel contact
- Leaves hydrophobic beading and an easy-clean surface that makes the next wash quicker
- Works on paint, rubber, plastic trim and fabric convertible tops, not just the paintwork
- Applied in the same pass as the rinse, so it adds a couple of minutes to a wash rather than an afternoon
When to use it
At the end of every wash, as the last step before you dry the car. It is a topper rather than a base layer, so it goes over an existing wax, sealant or ceramic coating and tops up what is already there. On a car that lives outside and gets washed most weekends, it is the easiest way to keep the beading working between proper details.

Straight from us
This is the bottle that lives beside the pressure washer in the shop. At 30ml a litre the 10L drum works out at somewhere around 330 litres of product, which is why it is the size that makes sense the moment you are washing more than your own car. The gloss is a bonus - what you actually buy it for is not having to fight the drying towel.
What it won't do
It is a topper, not a base layer. Protector Wax will not give you the durability of a paste wax or a ceramic coating, so if the paint has nothing on it, start with something from our wax range and use Protector Wax on top between washes.
Frequently asked questions
How do I dilute Koch Chemie Protector Wax?
Around 30ml of Protector Wax to 1 litre of water. That turns a 1L bottle into roughly 33 litres of working product, applied through a foam lance, foam sprayer or pump dispenser.
Can I use Protector Wax over a ceramic coating?
Yes. Protector Wax is a topper, so it goes over an existing wax, sealant or ceramic coating and adds gloss and beading without stripping what is underneath.
Do I need a pressure washer to use Protector Wax?
A pressure washer with a foam lance is the easiest way, but Protector Wax also goes on through a hand pump sprayer or a pump dispenser onto a wet car. Rinse it off and pat the remaining water dry.
How long does Koch Chemie Protector Wax last?
Koch Chemie do not publish a durability figure for Protector Wax. It is built to be reapplied at every wash rather than to last for months on its own, which is what keeps it cheap per use.
