A smeared windscreen at dusk on a wet road is a safety problem, not a cosmetic one, and it is usually the washer fluid causing it rather than the wipers. Kellean Screen Wash is a concentrated screen wash that clears road film without leaving a haze and stops the fluid freezing in the bottle and on the glass. One bottle, mixed to suit the season, covers the whole year.

When to use it
All year, mixed to the season. Most people find out their screen wash is too weak on the first frosty morning, with a bottle still full of summer mix, so step the concentration up in October rather than December. On gritted roads a windscreen loads up with salt haze in a single commute, and that is when a proper screen wash earns its place.

Mix it in a clean container rather than pouring concentrate straight into a half-full washer bottle. Otherwise you have no idea what strength you have ended up with, and a cold snap is a bad time to find out. Going into winter, run the bottle low first so the stronger mix isn't watered back down by what is already in there.
What it won't do
It won't de-ice a frozen windscreen. Screen wash keeps the fluid liquid; it doesn't clear ice off glass. For that, our Elements Xpert Screen Wash & De-Icer does both jobs. It also won't fix smearing caused by worn wiper blades or glass that needs a deep clean. If the streaks persist on a fresh mix, clean the glass properly with a glass cleaner and check the blades.

Is Kellean Screen Wash ready to use?
No, it is a concentrate. Dilute it between 10% and 50% depending on the season, or use it neat when temperatures are expected to drop below freezing.
What dilution should I use in winter?
50% through the winter, and neat when a hard frost is forecast. A 20% mix suits early winter and spring, 10% summer and autumn.
Will it stop my screen wash freezing?
Yes. Freeze protection is part of the formula, and it increases as you strengthen the mix, so move to 50% or neat as the nights get colder.
How much ready-to-use screen wash does 1L make?
Around 10 litres at the 10% summer mix, less as you go stronger through the winter. The 5L makes around 50 litres at summer strength.
Can I mix it with the screen wash already in my car?
Yes, but it dilutes your new mix. For winter strength, run the bottle low first and fill with a freshly mixed batch.
