The factory spoiler on the BMW 1 Series F40 is shorter than the rest of the car deserves. This rear cap spoiler extends the factory spoiler rather than replacing it: gloss black out of the box, taped over the factory spoiler, and nothing is cut.
About the rear cap spoiler
A one-piece cap spoiler in Blade Autostyling's M Pack Cap V1 design that clips over the trailing edge of the factory spoiler and extends it. It is vacuum-formed plastic finished gloss black on both faces, so the underside looks right from behind the car too.
It arrives in gloss black with the protective film still on, ready to go on the car. Once fitted the spoiler reads longer and sharper without touching the paint underneath.

Fitting it
Clean the factory spoiler with panel wipe. Dry fit and check it sits flush along the whole edge before the backing paper comes off. Warm both surfaces, press firmly, and leave 24 hours before washing.
Delivery, fitting and returns
Delivery is £20 to any UK or Ireland address, on every body kit part. Or have it fitted at Blade Performance in Portadown for an extra £20 — supplied and fitted the same day, and we warrant the fit. Check the spoiler against the car before the protective film comes off, and let us know about any transit damage within 48 hours of delivery.
What it won't do
It does not replace the factory spoiler — it needs the factory spoiler there to sit on.
It is not a wing. It does not generate downforce.
It is not injection-moulded ABS. Vacuum-formed plastic is lighter and more forgiving on impact, but it is thinner, and it is not a structural part.
Frequently asked questions
Does the BMW 1 Series F40 rear cap spoiler need painting?
No. It is supplied in gloss black and goes straight on the car.
Does it need drilling?
No. Automotive double-sided tape onto a clean, warm surface.
Can I jet wash it?
Yes, once the tape has had 24 hours to cure.
Can I collect it or have it fitted?
Yes. Collect from the shop in Portadown, or book it in and we fit it while you wait.
