Puffy Drying Towel XL 60x90cm
products.product.pickup_availability.unavailable
Drying is the second-most dangerous step after the wash, because a small towel gets saturated halfway round and starts dragging water — and whatever is in it — across the paint. The Puffy Drying Towel XL is 60 x 90cm of 840 GSM plush microfibre. Laid over a panel and pulled gently, it takes the water in one pass, and there is enough of it to do a family hatchback without wringing out.
Why it works
- 840 GSM plush pile holds a lot of water before it is anywhere near saturated
- 60 x 90cm covers a bonnet or roof in a single lay-and-drag
- Soft, long fibres keep pressure off the paint — no drag marks on dark or soft finishes
- Pair it with a drying aid and the water sheets off before the towel even touches it
- Machine washable; keeps its softness with a proper microfibre detergent
When to use it
Every wash, straight after the final rinse while the car is still dripping. Roof, glass and bonnet first, then down the sides, wheels and sills last with a separate towel.

Straight from us
Spray a drying aid such as Wet Coat on the wet panel first. Half the water leaves before the towel arrives, the towel glides instead of grabbing, and you get a layer of protection for free.
What it won't do
It will not dry a filthy car safely — dry only paint that has been properly washed. And it is not the towel for wheels or door shuts; keep an old one for those.
Frequently asked questions
Is one Puffy XL enough for a whole car?
For a hatchback or saloon, yes. For a large SUV or a van, have a second towel ready for the lower panels.
Do I need to wring it out?
Rarely on a normal car. If it starts leaving water behind, wring it once and carry on.
How do I wash a drying towel?
Machine wash with a microfibre detergent such as ADBL Micro Wash Storm, no fabric softener, then air dry or tumble on low. Softener coats the fibres and kills absorbency.
Twisted-loop or plush for drying?
Plush like the Puffy is the softer, safer option on delicate paint; twisted-loop towels absorb slightly more but are firmer. Most enthusiasts prefer plush on a dark car.
