A clogged pad doesn't cut. It skates, it heats up, and it starts leaving marks instead of removing them — and most people diagnose that as a bad pad rather than a full one. Pad Cleaner dissolves the compound, polish and wax packed into the foam and takes the pad back to how it cut when it was new.

Can I just use APC?
You can, but APC leaves residue in the foam that changes how the pad cuts. This is formulated to rinse out clean.

Yes, foam and wool both.
