A van that does motorway miles all week carries a film of diesel soot, road salt and oily grime that a car shampoo does not even dent. Truck Clean is a concentrated, strongly alkaline traffic film remover built for exactly that: lorries, vans, tarpaulins, trailers, engines and plant machinery where the dirt is heavy and the surface is built to take a proper cleaner.

When to use it
As the pre-wash on commercial vehicles, agricultural machinery, tarpaulins and forklifts, and as an engine bay degreaser at the stronger dilutions. Apply to a cool surface out of direct sun, and never let the solution dry on the panel.

Straight from us
This is a commercial product and it wants to be treated like one: gloves, eye protection, and start at the weaker end of the dilution and work up. Most van fleets clean up at 1:50 through a pump sprayer with no need to go stronger. Keep it for the vehicles that need it — on a family car with a wax or coating on it, use a pH-neutral snow foam instead.
What it won't do
It will not respect wax, sealant or ceramic coatings at the stronger dilutions — strong alkaline cleaners strip them. It is not for polished aluminium, anodised trim or delicate paint, and it must not be left to dry on any surface.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use Truck Clean on my car?
You can at the weaker sprayer dilution, but Tenzi Truck Clean is designed for commercial vehicles and machinery. On a protected car it is likely to strip your wax or sealant, so a neutral pre-wash is the better choice there.
What dilution should I use for a van?
Tenzi publish 1:100 through a sprayer in summer and 1:50 in winter, or 1:5 to 1:3 through a foam lance. Start weaker and increase only if the film does not shift.
Is it safe on engine bays?
Yes at 1:15 to 1:30 according to Tenzi's published guidance. Cover electrics and the air intake, apply to a cool engine, and rinse with controlled pressure rather than blasting connectors.
Do I need a pressure washer?
Tenzi specify rinsing with high-pressure water at 120 to 150 bar. A hose will rinse it, but a pressure washer is what lifts the loosened film off cleanly.
