The last cloth to touch the car decides how it looks. Teal is the paint cloth — quick detailer wipe-downs, spray sealant levelling and the final buff. It is the one cloth in the kit that should never have been near a wheel, a sill or an engine bay, and giving it its own colour is how you guarantee that.

How to use it

Only ever on a decontaminated panel. A quick detailer on a dusty car turns the cloth into an abrasive pad — rinse first, then wipe. Straight lines, light pressure, fresh face per panel.

Care

Machine wash at 40°C with a microfibre-safe detergent, no fabric softener. Wash paint cloths on their own and inspect for grit before each use — one trapped particle is a scratch.

Straight from us

If a teal cloth hits the floor, it is retired to a dirtier job. It is not worth the risk on paint, and that rule is the entire point of colour-coding.

Directions

1. Wash new cloths before first use to remove manufacturing residue and lift the pile.
2. Colour-code by job - keep one colour for paint, another for glass, another for wheels and interiors.
3. Use dry for buffing, or lightly damp for cleaning, and fold into quarters so you have eight clean faces to work through.
4. Turn to a fresh face as soon as one loads up with dirt.
5. Never reuse a cloth that has been dropped on the ground until it has been washed.

Machine wash at 30-40C with microfibre detergent. No fabric softener, no bleach, and do not wash with cotton items. Air dry or tumble dry on low.
