Bonnychem Ceramic Sealant 1L

A full ceramic coating means a day of prep, a cure window and a price that rules it out for most daily drivers. A ceramic sealant gets you much of the look and the water behaviour for a fraction of the effort. Bonnychem Ceramic Sealant is a ceramic spray sealant for protecting freshly washed paint, in a 1L bottle that covers a lot of cars.

Why it works

• Ceramic chemistry leaves a slick, water-repellent layer, so rain beads and runs off
• Dirt has less to grip, which makes the next wash quicker
• Applied panel by panel after a wash, with no long cure time to plan around
• Works as a top-up over existing ceramic protection
• 1L refills a 500ml trigger bottle twice over

When to use it

After a full wash and dry, ideally after an iron fallout treatment so it goes onto genuinely clean paint. Autumn is the time that matters most, before salt and grit arrive on Northern Ireland roads.

Specification

Straight from us

Less is more. A light mist per panel and two cloths, one to spread and one to buff, gives a better finish than soaking the paint. Keep it off the glass while you work and buff any overspray straight away.

What it won't do

It is not a replacement for a professionally applied ceramic coating and it will not hide swirls or scratches; it protects the finish you already have, so polish first if the paint needs it.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use Bonnychem Ceramic Sealant on a coated car?
Yes. A ceramic spray sealant works as a top-up over an existing coating to restore slickness and water beading.

Do I need to clay or decontaminate first?
For the best bond, yes. Wash, remove iron fallout and tar, then apply the sealant to clean, dry paint.

Can I apply ceramic sealant in the sun?
Work in the shade on a cool panel. Hot paint makes any spray sealant flash too quickly and streak.
