Most swirl marks are put into paint during the wash, not out on the road. Dragging a mitt across grit in a thin, low-lubricity solution is what does it, and a cheap detergent makes it worse by stripping the protection that was helping the dirt let go in the first place. Elements Xpert Wash It is a concentrated pH-neutral car shampoo that foams heavily, holds grit in suspension and leaves wax, sealant and ceramic coatings where they are.
Why it works

When to use it
Every maintenance wash. It is the contact-wash step, after a pre-wash has taken the heavy grit off — on a car that has been on gritted or muddy roads, foam it with Snow Blast and rinse before a mitt goes anywhere near the paint. Work top down, rinse the mitt often and stay out of direct sunlight.

Two buckets, and the grit guard is not optional. A pH-neutral shampoo protects your coating; it does nothing to protect your paint from the grit already sitting in the bottom of your wash bucket. On a car that lives outside through a Northern Ireland winter, the pre-wash step matters more than the shampoo does.
What it won't do
It will not shift traffic film or road salt on its own. Wash It is a maintenance shampoo, not a pre-wash or a TFR — the grey film along the sills after a winter's driving needs TFR X first. It also leaves nothing behind; for a shampoo that adds gloss and protection, that is Wash & Gloss.

What dilution should I use for Wash It?
1:100, which is about 10ml of shampoo per litre of water. A 1L bottle makes roughly 100 litres of wash solution.
Will Wash It strip my ceramic coating?
No. Wash It is pH neutral and formulated not to degrade wax, sealants or ceramic coatings, which is what makes it suitable for regular maintenance washing on protected cars.
Can I use it through a snow foam lance?
Wash It is designed as a contact-wash shampoo rather than a foam. For a thick, clinging pre-wash foam through a lance, use Snow Blast.
Which size should I buy?
1L for a home detailer washing one or two cars, 5L for a valeter or anyone washing weekly, 20L for a unit or a fleet.
