Wax and sealant residue is the one job a plush cloth does badly. The deep pile loads up with product, smears it back across the panel and leaves a haze you end up chasing round the car. The OXYPERL is a 320 GSM pearl-weave cloth built for exactly that pass: the tight, slightly textured weave grabs cured residue and holds onto it, so the panel clears in one wipe instead of three.

Why it works

  • Pearl weave — a low, textured pile that lifts residue rather than pushing it around
  • 320 GSM: enough body to hold product, not so much that it clogs
  • Edgeless — no stitched border to catch on trim or mark a coated panel
  • 40 x 40cm, folds into eight working faces
  • 10 cloths in navy, so the residue-removal cloths are easy to tell apart from the rest of the bag
  • Lint-free on paint, glass and interior plastics

When to use it

Buffing off paste wax, spray sealant and ceramic detailer once it has flashed, and removing polish residue after a machine pass. Also a good glass cloth for the second, dry buff.

Care

Machine wash at 40°C with a microfibre detergent. No fabric softener and no high-heat tumble drying. Keep these with the paint cloths, away from anything that has been near a wheel.

Straight from us

Use two on a waxed car: one OXYPERL to take the bulk of the residue off, then a clean one for the final wipe. Ten in the pack means you can do that on a full car without washing anything mid-job, and at this price it is cheaper per cloth than most 5-packs.

What it won't do

It is not a drying towel and it is not a plush finishing cloth. For the last soft buff on a freshly polished panel step up to the DUAL X 400; for drying use the ABSORBIUM.

Frequently asked questions

What is a pearl weave cloth for?
Removing product. The short, textured pile lifts cured wax, sealant and polish residue cleanly, where a plush cloth tends to smear it.

Is 320 GSM too thin for paint?
No. It is soft enough for clearcoat; the lower weight is what stops it clogging with product. Keep a plusher cloth for the final finishing pass if you want extra insurance.

Can I use it on glass?
Yes — it is a good dry-buff cloth after a waffle weave has done the cleaning.

Are they really edgeless?
Yes. There is no stitched border on any side.

Directions

1. Let the wax, sealant or polish flash off for the time the product label gives before you touch it.
2. Fold the cloth into quarters for eight clean working faces.
3. Wipe in straight, overlapping strokes with light pressure, turning to a fresh face as it loads up.
4. Take a second clean OXYPERL for the final wipe to clear any remaining haze.
5. Check the panel from an angle in good light before moving on.
6. Machine wash at 40°C with a microfibre detergent. No fabric softener, no high-heat tumble drying.
