Between proper washes a car picks up dust, fingerprints round the handles and water marks off an overnight shower. None of that justifies getting the buckets out, and washing a car that often is itself how paint ends up marked. Elements Xpert Stay Clean is a ready-to-use waterless quick detailer that lifts light contamination, restores gloss and leaves a slick layer of polymeric protection behind it.

When to use it

Before a show, a meet or a photo, and on a car that was clean three days ago and is not any more. Panel at a time, out of direct sun, on a cool surface. It is also the bottle to reach for when you are claying — a generous mist on both the panel and the clay keeps it gliding.

The rule is light dirt only. If you can see grit on the panel or feel it with the back of a finger, a waterless detailer is a scratch waiting to happen — rinse the car first. Used properly it is one of the highest-value bottles in the range; used on a filthy car it is an expensive way to ruin a finish.

What it won't do

It will not replace a wash. Stay Clean is for light surface contamination, and anything gritty, muddy or salted needs a proper pre-wash and contact wash with Wash It first. What it leaves behind is a topper rather than a coating, and it will not remove bonded contamination or swirl marks.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use Stay Clean on a dirty car?
No. It is for light dust, fingerprints and water marks only. Grit sitting on the panel will be dragged across the paint and will mark it, so rinse the car first.

Can I use it as a clay bar lubricant?
Yes. Spray it generously onto both the panel and the clay, keep the surface wet throughout, then wipe the residue away with a clean microfibre.

Is it safe over wax or a ceramic coating?
Yes. Stay Clean leaves a polymeric layer on top rather than stripping what is already there, so it works as a topper on protected paint.

Which size should I buy?
1L for a home detailer keeping one car tidy, 5L for a valeting bay or anyone using it as clay lubricant as well as a detailer.
