A small detailing brush is right for badges and vents and wrong for everything bigger — you end up doing a grille one slat at a time. The Fat Brush is the big soft one. A wide head of gentle silk-type bristles that agitates snow foam or wheel cleaner across a grille, a bumper or a whole wheel face in a couple of passes, with a non-slip grip and a loop so it hangs on the trolley instead of living on the floor.

Why it works

  • Wide, soft bristle head covers large areas fast — grilles, bumpers, wheel faces, sills
  • Gentle bristles are safe on painted, polished and coated surfaces
  • Works inside too: vinyl, leather and dashboards with an interior cleaner
  • Non-slip handle with grip ridges holds firm when wet
  • Hanging loop for the wall or the trolley

When to use it

During the pre-wash, while the snow foam is dwelling — agitate the grille, badges, bumper vents and the faces of the wheels. It is also the brush for wheel faces after the cleaner has dwelled, before the Dagger goes into the barrel.

Straight from us

This and a small round brush cover almost every agitation job on the outside of a car. It replaces the sponge most people are still using on the grille and the wheel faces.

What it won't do

It is too big for tight spots — badges, vents and the gaps around lights want the Smooth Operator or a round detailing brush. And it is soft: heavily baked-on tyre dressing needs the stiffer Tire Brush.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Fat Brush safe on paint?
Yes with plenty of lubrication — use it on a foamed or wet panel, never dry, and rinse it if it picks up grit.

Can I use it on the interior?
Yes. With an interior cleaner it is good on dashboards, vinyl and door cards. Keep a separate one for inside so wheel grime never comes indoors.

Fat Brush or Wheel Dagger for wheels?
Fat Brush for the face and the spokes; Dagger for the barrel behind them. They are a pair, not alternatives.
