The thick one. SWAG's Interior Dressing Cream Satine is an emulsified cream rather than a spray — you put it on a foam applicator and work it into the plastic, which is why it does more for a sun-baked dashboard than any mist can. It deepens faded colour, lays down a hydrophobic protective film, and finishes satin with a coconut scent.

Cream dressings and spray dressings are not competing products, they are different jobs. A spray maintains plastic that is already in good order. A cream restores plastic that is not. If the panel looks dry again an hour after you dress it, that is the surface drinking the product — SWAG's own advice is to apply a second coat, and that is exactly right.

What it won't do

It is not a leather conditioner, and SWAG publish no durability period so we will not quote one. It will not repair crazed, cracked or UV-destroyed plastic — it makes tired plastic look far better, but it cannot rebuild it.

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from the Hydrophobic Interior Detailer?
That one is a spray for routine wipe-downs. This is a thick cream applied by hand — more product on the surface, more restoration, longer to apply.

Do I need to buff it off?
Wait five minutes after application, then wipe off any excess with a microfibre. Excess left behind is what causes shine and dust pickup.

Can I use it on the steering wheel?
We would not. SWAG publish no exclusion list, but no dressing belongs on a steering wheel, gear knob or pedals.

Directions

Apply in a shaded area on a cool, clean surface.
Shake the bottle before use.
Apply a small amount to a foam applicator.
Spread a thin, even layer across the whole element.
If the surface is damaged and looks dry again after application, apply a second time.
Wait 5 minutes.
Wipe off any excess with a microfibre cloth.

Safety: causes serious eye irritation. Wear gloves. If it gets in your eyes, rinse cautiously with water for several minutes and seek advice.
