Pro Black Tyre & Rubber Restorer Kit

Tyres go brown before they go bald. The anti-ozone waxes in the rubber migrate to the surface, oxidise, and leave the sidewall a dull tan that a glossy dressing covers for a week and then slings up the paint. E-Tech Pro Black is a tyre restorer rather than a tyre shine: a pigmented polymer coating that puts colour back into weathered rubber and dries to a satin black finish that E-Tech state will not wash off in the rain.
Why it works
- Pigmented polymer coating restores colour to browned rubber instead of sitting on top as an oily film
- Fully dry in 10 to 15 minutes, then it stays where you put it — no sling up the wings on the first drive
- Non-greasy, so it does not attract the brake dust and road grit that turn a dressed tyre grey by the weekend
- UV resistant and rated by E-Tech to hold its colour through all weather
- Water-based, oil-free, silicone-free, solvent-free and non-flammable
- Kit includes the 236ml bottle, 50mm and 25mm foam applicators, gloves and a dispensing pot
When to use it
On any tyre whose sidewall has gone brown or grey rather than just dusty — low-profile performance tyres, chunky 4x4 and pick-up tyres with raised lettering, and the old rubber on classic and retro cars that never quite comes clean. It also restores rubber hoses, seals and mudflaps. Wash and fully dry the tyre first; a satin finish shows every bit of dirt trapped underneath.

Straight from us
This is for the customer who is sick of re-dressing tyres every wash. Scrub the sidewall with a tyre cleaner and a stiff brush until the foam runs white, dry it, then put on one thin coat with the 50mm applicator and leave it alone. The 25mm pad is for raised lettering and the gap behind the rim. It is a satin finish by design — if you want a wet-look gloss, this is not the product.
What it won't do
It won't give a high-gloss wet look, and it won't hide a sidewall that has not been cleaned properly. For a glossy dressing that you top up each wash, look at Kellean Tyre Slick in our tyre care range instead.
Frequently asked questions
Does E-Tech Pro Black sling onto the paint?
No, once it has fully dried. It is a non-greasy coating rather than an oil-based dressing, so there is nothing wet on the sidewall to fling off. Give it the full 10 to 15 minutes before driving.
How long does it last?
E-Tech state it will not wash off in the rain and retains its colour through all weather conditions. How long it lasts on a given car comes down to mileage and how hard the sidewalls are scrubbed at each wash.
Is it safe on the tyre?
Yes. It is water-based and free of oils, silicones and solvents, so there is nothing in it to dry the rubber out. Keep it off the tread.
Can I use the trim version on tyres instead?
Use this one. The Pro Black Plastic Trim Restorer is the version E-Tech specify for plastic; this one is the version they specify for tyre sidewalls and rubber hoses, so match the product to the surface.
