Leather & Upholstery Cleaning Brush

Leather cleaner wiped on and wiped off cleans the top of the hide and nothing else. The dirt that makes a driver's seat grey sits down in the grain and the perforations, and it only comes out with gentle agitation. Tenzi's leather and upholstery brush is the traditional tool for the job: natural horsehair on a wooden handle, soft enough for coated leather, firm enough to work cleaner into fabric.

When to use it

Every leather clean: spray or foam your cleaner onto the brush or the panel, agitate in light circles, then lift the soil away with a microfibre cloth. On fabric, use it to work cleaner into the pile before extraction or blotting.

Let the foam and the brush do the work — pressing harder does not clean deeper, it just stresses the finish. Work a panel at a time and wipe before the cleaner dries, and a ten-year-old seat comes up shades lighter.

What it won't do

It will not fix worn or cracked leather — that is damage, not dirt. And it is not for suede or alcantara, which want a much softer touch.

Yes — horsehair is the standard bristle for coated automotive leather because it agitates without abrading the finish.

Do I use it wet or dry?
Wet, with a leather or interior cleaner. Dry brushing just moves dust around; the cleaner does the dissolving and the brush does the reaching.

Can I use it on fabric seats and carpets?
Yes. It works cleaner into upholstery and carpet pile well, though a stiffer synthetic brush suits heavily soiled carpet better.
